I am truly honored to receive this endorsement from Sue Cook.

Endorsements matter—but who they come from matters even more. Sue is a true advocate for the Freeport community. She shows up, takes the time to get informed, and speaks her mind when something isn’t right.

Sue does not let her physical disabilities define or limit her. She lets her values lead. She stands up for what is right because it is right—not because it is easy. That kind of courage and integrity inspires me.

Sue is also a strong Democrat, which makes her support especially meaningful. At times, we may disagree on how to get there—but we both know where the destination is: a stronger, fairer, more compassionate community. In a time when politics demands blind loyalty, Sue is brave enough to look past party labels and support the best person for the job.

Over the past year, Sue has become one of my closest friends. Her heart of gold, unmatched compassion for others, and genuine care for this community are increasingly rare. Her hope and optimism are infectious, and her belief in people reminds me why this work matters.

I am deeply grateful for Sue’s trust, her friendship, and her support. Having Sue Cook standing in my corner means more to me than I can put into words—and I will work every day to represent everyone and be worthy of that trust.
