Time to Fire Andrew Chesney:
No More Talk. No More Excuses. Time to Get Things Done.
“Andrew Chesney talks like a fighter, but he hides like a politician. While he’s out chasing headlines, our roads fall apart, our kids leave town, and our towns get labeled distressed. He’s had his chance. It’s time to fire him.”
— Joshua T. Atkinson
Andrew Chesney has had his chance—and he’s failed. For years, he’s been more focused on protecting political power and scoring points on social media than delivering for Northwest Illinois.
He talks tough, but he’s nothing more than a schoolyard bully hiding behind daddy’s money. He picks fights, shifts blame, and grandstands—while the real problems in our communities go ignored.
Joshua T. Atkinson is the man to stand up to that bully. A U.S. Navy veteran, business developer, and community leader, he’s not afraid to go toe-to-toe with Chesney and send him crying back to daddy. Enough is enough.
Joshua is running against Andrew in the Republican primary because sometimes you have to go into the swamp to take care of the swamp creature. Atkinson believes in people—he knows that very few Republicans are evil, and very few Democrats are lazy hippies. At the end of the day, right is right and wrong is wrong. And Joshua is stepping up to teach Andy the lesson his daddy never did.
The Problem: A Career Politician Who’s Lost His Way
Chesney votes safe and plays the party game, but accomplishes nothing
Rural communities continue to lose population, businesses, and opportunity
Infrastructure crumbles while Chesney grandstands
Property taxes go up while insiders close to Chesney get breaks
Crime rises while he talks tough and does little
He’s more concerned about obsessing over kids’ genitals and pushing political distractions than doing the real work
While he points fingers at others, he stays silent about his own hometown of Freeport—officially labeled a “distressed community”
It’s all noise and no results.
“Andrew Chesney talks like a fighter, but he hides like a politician.
While he’s out chasing headlines, our roads fall apart, our kids leave town, and our towns get labeled distressed.
He’s had his chance. It’s time to fire him.”
— Joshua T. Atkinson
The Solution: Fire Him
District 45 doesn’t need someone who’s mastered the politics of self-preservation—we need someone who will fight for real solutions.
Joshua T. Atkinson is a U.S. Navy veteran, a business developer, and a leader with a record of service. He’s not here to play party games—he’s here to clean up the mess Chesney’s made.
Why It Matters
This campaign isn’t about right vs. left—it’s about right vs. wrong. Chesney answers to donors and insiders. Atkinson answers to you.
We’ve given Andrew Chesney more than enough time. It’s time to fire the talker and hire a doer.
Let’s send someone to Springfield who will work hard, lead with character, and put people over politics.
